Switching from QuickBooks Self-Employed
QuickBooks Self-Employed tracks your expenses. Claimable maps them to your T2125.
QuickBooks Self-Employed is a light income-and-expense tracker with receipts and mileage. Claimable is built in Canada around the form you actually file: every expense lands on a real CRA T2125 line, with GST/HST, CCA, and audit-ready exports that a generic tracker leaves you to sort out at year-end.

Generic categories, not CRA lines
QuickBooks Self-Employed sorts income and expenses into general buckets. At year-end you (or your accountant) still map them onto the T2125, and that translation step is exactly where deductions get lost.
The next step up is a big one
When you outgrow Self-Employed, Intuit points you to QuickBooks Online, built for businesses with payroll and inventory. For a one-person operation that just needs a clean T2125, that's more software, and more cost, than the job needs.
The Canadian tax work it leaves to you
GST/HST filing with input tax credits, the $30,000 small-supplier threshold, CCA depreciation, the home office calculator: Claimable does these in the app, where a light expense tracker leaves them to you or your accountant.
T2125
is the form self-employed Canadians actually file, and it's what Claimable is built around. Every category is a real CRA line number, not a generic bucket you have to translate later.
Canadian tax law, not a US product with a flag on it
Real CRA line numbers, the half-year rule for CCA, provincial GST/HST/QST/PST, Bank of Canada exchange rates. Built for how the CRA works, not bolted on afterward.
Right-sized for a one-person business
No double-entry ledger, no payroll module you'll never open. Track expenses, scan receipts, export totals at tax time. That's the whole job.
Audit-ready by default
Every receipt stored as an unalterable original with a SHA-256 hash, full change history on every expense, and a one-click audit package if the CRA comes asking.

Common questions.
Can I import my QuickBooks data?
Claimable doesn't import from QuickBooks today. Most people switching mid-stream start logging the current tax year in Claimable and export their history from QuickBooks for their records.
Is Claimable accounting software?
No, and that's the point. There's no general ledger or bank reconciliation. It's built for the tax return, for people who want deductions captured without running a full accounting system.
Does it file my taxes for me?
No. Claimable produces the exact numbers your T2125 asks for, so the filing step (you, your tax software, or your accountant) takes minutes. It doesn't NETFILE.
What does it cost?
Every account starts with a 14-day free trial with full Pro access: 50 receipt scans across the trial and everything else unlimited, including the full year-end toolkit. After that, Pro is $249/year or $49/month with unlimited scanning. Cancel anytime.
